New York with a hat boxNelly discovers New York and meets new fans of her hats at "The Box the Train"
I arrived on the 18th of September 2010 at JFK airport with : one big hat box, one small suitcase and a lot of hope, curiosity and excitement! For three days, the sun shone as if were lighting the road I must follow in this unknown country. I settled in on the Sunday at the Terminal Warehouse. A beautiful brick building overlooking the Hudson river. The view was fabulous!
“A great fair, focused, intimate enough with a quality selection and very interested visitors.” I met lots of people and discovered how the American public is seduced by the French touch of my hats. Orders, contacts with journalists, students, and plenty of tips on what to see while exploring wonderful New York City over the following days.
The Box at the Train is a fair that suits my products. My first visit was exciting and it was good to make so many contacts. I plan to sell directly now to the stores. This is a promising export market for my hats. American women seem willing to invest more in their headwear and are ready to buy my more expensive designs.
